You can still press l2eave spectating" and get back to the main menu. If you stay in the frozen match for a while, the game will crash to the desktop without any error message.
This starts usually after >10mins into the game, but once it starts doing it, disconnecting and rejoining to spectate will always lead to the timeout freeze after a couple of minutes, restarting the game is not fixing the match's spectate mode.
