If you begin a targeted cast, but are then silenced before left-clicking to fire the ability, the game just repeatedly tells you "You are Silenced" instead of simply cancelling the target and allowing you to shoot your gun on left click.
I was about to post this exact thing, really frustrating. It did not do a good job of letting me know i was silenced, stuck in the ability targeting UI
