Should there be a Dota 2 bottle in deadlock? An upgrade to locket

Im just imagining the different control player will have over just Whoever is closer to runebuff should use it and utilize it instead of utilizing it strategically. oh you can also be the support to buy this and give it to other ally which would be a balance issue in the future.

Seems like a pretty interesting idea, that would probably make bridge buff a bit more important to get

I disagree merely with porting over random things from dota just because they're from dota. Especially as an upgrade to an item that's already in a fine state.

Interesting. I'm not sure how it would play tho. Buying a 6k item to have an on demand 3k item basically.
The item would technically cost 1.6k, since Restorative Locket itself is already priced at 1.6k. That’s how most Deadlock items are structured (right?) —in this case, it’s a Tier 3 item (full buy at 3.2k), while Restorative Locket is a Tier 2 (1.6k).

I think the ability to hold a rune buff and transfer it to an ally introduces an interesting strategic element. For example, two different players could stack rune buffs onto a single teammate, creating a “mega-buffed” character. Of course, this would require extreme coordination, which is practically non-existent in pubs or non-competitive games.

The drawback is that it takes up one of the four active slots, which is a big limitation. That alone might discourage players from keeping it into the late game. However, with this item, holding onto Lockets actually becomes meaningful—since rune buffs are powerful and, if I’m not mistaken, they also scale well into the late game.

Touché. Just because the idea comes from Dota doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be in Deadlock. What do you mean by “random”? The state of rune buffs right now is clearly problematic.

As it stands, rune buffs usually go to whoever happens to be closest—an unspoken rule. But with an active item that lets you pass the buff to the right teammate, rune buffs could finally have meaningful, intentional usage.

For example, instead of giving the Spirit rune buff to Haze just because he was nearest (and you didn’t want to risk the enemy taking it), you could pick it up safely and then transfer it with this item to the actual hero who benefits most.

The original design of the Bottle was genius, and it shouldn’t be dismissed or excluded from Deadlock just because it first appeared in Dota

I disagree with the statement of not porting Dota items. If the idea is fun or interesting it should be tested with. Maybe this shouldn't be with locket and perhaps with another item.
