Severe GPU Resource Spike When Opening Shop - Causes Unplayable Lag

I've encountered a significant issue with GPU resource usage when opening the shop in Deadlock. When the shop is accessed, there is a noticeable spike in GPU resource consumption. In some cases, this spike doesn't decrease even after exiting the shop, leading to sustained high GPU usage. Over time, this causes severe lag, making the game unplayable.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Start a game of Deadlock.
  2. Access the shop menu during gameplay.
  3. Observe the GPU resource usage spike.
  4. Exit the shop and continue playing.
  5. Notice that the GPU usage remains high, eventually leading to lag. (May need to repeat previous steps multiple times to reproduce)
Expected Behavior:
The GPU resource usage should return to normal levels after exiting the shop to prevent excessive strain on the GPU and maintain smooth gameplay or the shop not consume such a great deal of resources to open and view

System Specifications:

  • GPU: 2080 super
  • Driver Version: 560.94
  • OS: Windows

(This GPU usage is after the first time opening the shop, this usage will increase gradually as the shop is opened more times across multiple games)

Forgot to mention, this issue persists even after
  • Closing and opening the game
  • Changing the graphics settings
  • Verifying integrity of files
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling
The issue seems to have been fixed by completely turning off my computer and restarting it. I understand that this makes it sound like a potential hardware issue, but this GPU usage was tested against significantly more demanding games and was proven to show no issue on my end. Even Baulder's Gate 3 barely took up as much GPU as opening the shop in the above screenshot
