“Serendipity knew from an early age that she was gonna have to work harder than most to overcome the circumstances she was born into. Her mother never told her much about her father, but what she did know was apparent by looking in a mirror: he was not at all human. It was clear from birth of course, a baby with grey skin and a pair of long ears like stilletos isn’t exactly typical. But when puberty started and she shot up to over 2 meters tall, then it became much harder to keep the stares away. And so she worked. She worked herself all the way into a school across the Atlantic, in the middle of the Cursed Apple itself. And she worked there until she earned admittance into further studies back in her home on the Isles. And now she was back in New York, ready to finish her dissertation and prove once and for all that she was just as good as anybody else.”

Aesthetically, we’ve got a bit of an odd one here. 2.4ish meters tall, hairless and pale grey skin stretched *too* thin over a frame that is far too skinny, especially for it’s height. Think a cross between like E. T. and Nosferatu, real “I would not want to see this thing skulking around in the dark” vibes. I hesitate to lean towards like “tall grey men” style aliens but it’s also kind of apt. Tallest in the current cast, but skinny as say, Celeste, or even skinnier. There's also a bit of a proportion problem, legs and arms too long for "normal". Sharp, emotive ears like lynx or other cat, but not furry. Kindish face, with custom practical clothing befitting a researcher or student. Refined, nice, but distant disposition learnt from a life of harsh truths (Honest to god I loved how Katie Leung played Caitlyn in Arcane and given a couple of the other voice actors are already in the Cursed Apple, she could do it well). Immediately brightens with familiar faces like Professor Dynamo though. Ability aesthetics are all “practical magics” science like etc, similar to dynamo, but her specialization being “Maelstrom Adjacent Causality Influencing” lends itself less to reasonable theorems and more into the realm of wibbly wobbly reality bending shenanigans. Also I am fond of the color Teal for whatever reason for any of these that might need it.

Gun - “Coming Up Roses” A bit of a weird square box like thing, not unlike a camera or projector, modified to magically react with the energy in the air and spit out imbued bits of shrapnel or debris in a rapid fire stream. Similar to Billy's SMG, much slower bullet velocity but has a quirk of sometimes bullets will just spontaneously change direction to go towards the nearest target (think like Brain Worm in Binding of Isaac). Bullet velocity scales with Spirit power.

Ability 1 - "Causality Field" Serendipity throws a small device that blooms a bubble of uncertainty. Allies within the field gain increased fire rate and bullet evasion. Allied projectiles that hit the field will automatically redirect to hit any enemies within the field (IE It gives ally bullets and projectiles homing on enemies within the fields, so it still has a functional "aggressive" use beyond just a good buff). This is a charge based ability. Upgrades could include it slowing enemies, increased charges or range.

Ability 2 - "Twist" Serendipity blinks a short distance based on your current inputs and conserves momentum. This ability goes through walls, if the distance is enough to put her not outside the map. Longer cooldown. Upgrades could include reload on teleport and stuff.

Ability 3 - "Jammy" Passive ability that causes a chance of any damage taken to be reduced by a large %. Incurs a small cooldown on proc. Proc chance scales with spirit power. T3 upgrade would be that instead of reducing damage, it completely negates it instead. Other upgrades could be reduced cooldown or increased base chance or maybe even a small heal on proc, etc.

Ability 4 - "Tip the Scales" Serendipity (or an ally if alt cast) gains a powerful buff that causes all item proc rates to be doubled, and cooldowns to be halved. IE items like Toxic Bullets would build up twice as fast, tesla bullets would proc more often, active items used during the buff would have a shorter cooldown, etc. Active items that are still on cooldown when the buff ends return to their normal cooldown, relatively. (Like how buying or selling cooldown already works, so I guess this would mean it temporarily gives you 50% item CDR). Upgrades could include stat buffs or even allowing it to always affect herself even when alt cast on an ally.

We got a bit of a gun carry/support hybrid type thing with some funky mechanics and funkier looks. Potential for shenangians and balance aside, I thought it'd be fun to make a sort of "luck" based character and a passive damage block seemed an interesting way to balance one so large.
