Sentinel - A Hero Concept
Sentinel is a hero that is based off the objectives found on the map. They provide a defensive set of abilities that can allow for more aggressive and fast attacks when needed.Visuals
Sentinel Takes the form of a small, but still bulky relative to a normal human, version of a guardian. They are made out of multiple pretty worn out metal (Likely Cast Iron) parts that are bound together by the life force of multiple souls. There are multiple markings and texts present on their body, multiple wax candles are also lit up inside their brazier head. They also adorn a slightly torn crimson cape which is also marked with some occult-like symbols.Background
It is not known where or who created Sentinel, many speculate they were created by a mysterious cult deep under the streets of NYC, but what people know is that Sentinel one day appeared on the streets of New York looking aimless and confused. Its worn and battered look left many to theorize what may have happened to this golem of cold iron. But since its first appearance, Sentinel has become a common view for many people of the city as they were given the role of one of Manhattan's protectors, catching criminals and bringing justice for the weak.Life seems to be going well for Sentinel, or so it seems to others; But deep inside lies a burning hatred for the people that created Sentinel, people that do not deserve to live after taking the lives of so many innocent people and stuffing them into this cold lifeless armor. And so Sentinel roams the streets of Manhattan day in and day out in a tireless search to enact their revenge and maybe, just maybe, finally be able to put themselves to rest once and for all.

Gun
Sentinel uses a big metal staff with a small brazier on its end as a weapon.Left Click fires a beam of fire which deals very little damage at first, but quickly ramps up the more it's locking onto a target. (Has infinite range with heavy damage fall-off)
Right Click charges up a ball of fire that deals area damage, with more damage being deals the longer it's being charged.
Abilities
Soul Stomp
- Active: Stomp the ground to temporarily lower Bullet and Spirit resist for all nearby enemies. Using Soul Stomp while Sentinel's Might's shield is deploy will also make the ability deal damage in an area.
T2 Upgrade: Decreased Cooldown
T3 Upgrade: Using Souls Stomp with the Shield in hand will throw all enemies in range up (Similar to Lash's Ground Strike)
Thick Skin
- Passive: Parrying will temporarily deflect attacks towards Sentinel (You can imagine it as a sort of Pocket Return Fire)
T1 Upgrade: Increased damage deflection
T2 Upgrade: Getting damaged while parrying will lower your parry's cooldown. (X seconds equal to Y damage relative to your Max Health).
T2 Upgrade (Alternate Idea): If you lose 10% of your Max HP as damage while parrying, you temporarily gain a speed boost.
T3 Upgrade: Thick Skin gains a parry bar (Displayed above the ability icon). You can now hold a parry as long as the bar is not empty, but this will quickly deplete the parry bar. The parry bar will slowly replenish over time. (You can still normally parry even if the bar is empty)
Sentinel's Might
- Passive: Sentinel holds a shield which makes melee attacks deal knockback to enemies (Higher Knockback with Heavy Melees).
- Active: Deploy your shield on the ground, it has its own HP bar and will deflect part of the damage and attacks coming its way. When the shield is destroyed, the ability will go on cooldown. Using the ability key on the deployed shield will pick it up and put the ability on cooldown. Going too far away from the shield will return it to Sentinel and put the ability on Cooldown. When the shield is deployed or broken, Sentinel's Might passive effect will not work, additionally, Sentinel will gain a speed boost for as long as they don't have the shield on hand.
T2 Upgrade: Reduced Ability cooldown and Melee Knockback.
T3 Upgrade: Heavy Melees will now briefly stun enemies if they are knocked against a wall. (They have to be knocked a certain distance to be stunned)
Burst of Hatred
- Active: After Channeling the ability, Sentinel's chest will burst open, they will gain increased Health and size. During the transformation, Sentinel's gun and abilities are empowered. Soul Stomp deals more damage and stuns every enemy in range. Thick Skin will make Sentinel release a burst of damage after parrying (Increased damage the longer it's being held). Sentinel's Might's melee attacks have increased knockback, additionally, light meleeing will also stun similar to Heavy meleeing.
T2 Upgrade: Increased Bullet and Spirit Resist during the transformation
T3 Upgrade: Sentinel's double jumps, dashes and wall jumps are increased by one. Automatically activate Soul Stomp after landing from a height of 10+ metres.
