Sent party invite instead of the beta invite

So I invited a friend to play Deadlock but I accidentally sent a party invite instead and he accepted it. But when he clicked on the invite, it said he didn't have the license to play the game. So I sent a beta invite however it does not seem to have sent even though it says on my end that I sent an invite to him. Is there anything that needs to be done or is it just a waiting game at this point?

I do remember when I received my invite, it was relatively quick.
