Scaling healer 3000 cost item : Essence of Virtue

An issue I find with support builds is their lack of scaling or real synergy for most purposes ; stacking up on healing items may give an overkill configuration that does not contribute as much as a more common combat build with occasional uses of healing abilities. This item seeks to address that particular issue.

Essence of Virtue - 3000 cost vitality item
+100 health
Passive : earning an assist gives (or refreshes) a 7 seconds buff that grants 15 spirit power. If you heal teammates for more than 800 health during that time , gain a permanent stacking buff that gives +5% heal amplification , ability range and duration. Dying under the influence of Healbane loses 1 stack.

Because it is conditional on earning assists , this would not work very well if your team is getting destroyed - a Rescue Beam would fare better in those situations.
But if you have a small advantage or the match starts to stall , it can tip the back and forth exchanges in your favor , over time. You also cannot gain stacks with a mere healing rite , but the decision on wether to save your healing ability for after you gain an assist or not may be difficult. There is also counterplay for the possibility of the healer gaining lots of stacks , an assassin buying the cheap Healbane has a chance to kill some of their stacks and denying more by eliminating the healer before teamfights.
 
This would be a terrible item to try and balance. Either useless, or straight up broken depending on the numbers. Healing is also supposed to not scale in the same way that damage does. Support builds are already really strong because of how recent patches have put more emphasis on the mid game. They don't need free scaling from a complete balancing nightmare on top of that.
