Normally, ropes will push you when you finish climbing in a direction in such a way you land on the part with ground, like this:

This is the behavior for most ropes
However, there's the following ropes that work differently: the mid ropes push you slightly in the direction you're looking, instead of the direction with ground:

Quite annoying since if you don't look in the right direction you just fall back into the pit.
And the bridge ropes not only push you in a direction but also snap your camera towards the buff:
