This has been a bug for months now so it's probably already been reported.
You can see this with pretty much any replay - events denoted by the timeline markers always happen some time after the marker on the timeline. In this screenshot the playhead is at the point where the kill happened, but as you can see the kill marker is quite far behind.

My gut feeling is telling me that event markers are probably being placed on the timeline relative to match start whereas the actual timeline includes the preround period? I haven't actually timed out the preround time vs. the offset on these markers to confirm that but it would make sense.
