Repeat Crashing randomly

Not sure why but randomly over the past week or so the game crashes and forces me to try to verify file integrity on steam. That also stays stuck at 0%. Normally have to full uninstall and reinstall deadlock.

Here's a report ID from event viewer if that'd help the valve team if they happen to look at this.

The 'Report Id' generated for events in Event Viewer is just a unique identifier assigned to the event, so it doesn't really describe what happened. What is the full text of the event?

If the exception code is 0xc0000005, this almost always coincides with RAM instability. Try disabling XMP (EXPO for AMD users) or reducing RAM frequency until it stops crashing. If it doesn't stop and you've tried everything else, replace the RAM.

have disabled xmp now, will run tonight and see how it goes.

no mods or changing gameinfo at all. as vanilla as one could get
