Rem's ult radius does not seem to be effected by Ability Range despite tooltips

Unless I am misunderstanding the tool tips, Rems ult does not seem to actually receive any radius increase from Ability Range. It increases the cast range of his ult, but the area that it effects does not seem to ever get "wider". This could be intended, but if so I would say the tooltips are misleading.(Since they say it increases both the Radius and the Cast Range)
