Quick cast won't keep myself shooting if i already throwed my ability.

Hello, I've noticed that when you use instant cast to use an ability while firing it won't stop the shooting command, but the quick cast option does when I didn't hold the key beforehand to throw it.

Is this intended to be this way? I don't know a way where I can show in video what I mean by this by showing the keys I'm pressing. I'll post a video about it shortly.
