Queued for a match then got a matchmaking ban and low priority queue for to not being placed in the match due to a bug

I opened the game and queued for a match, then I went into the hero sandbox to mess around while I wait for matchmaking.
While in the sandbox, I heard the sound effect for a match being found which plays just before you get placed into the match, but then nothing happened. After waiting for a while to see if anything would happen, I left the sandbox, and was met with low priority queue and a 2 hour matchmaking ban despite never even entering the match due to no fault of my own.
Not sure what I can post to prove that this happened but here's my ban screen:

This same thing happened to me - which is annoying because I have been put in low matchmaking already - NOW i'm punished for 8 games!
