"project8.exe is using the microphone" i don't have a mic, all in game settings disabled, why is deadlock constantly listening?

i do not use voice comms online due to rampant racism, sexism and other undistilled forms of abuse.

i do not own a microphone.

deadlock keeps trying to listen to an imaginary mic, constantly. i might have to try removing any mic driver from my system in order to check if this issue persists.

could this be related to the comms ban issue? could a unfinished system be overloading another system not yet ready for production?

anyway, please help on how to stop deadlock from constantly trying to listen to my pc.
