"Processing Vulkan shaders" every time on startup; PC crashes if skipped.

Pretty much what the title says, every time I start the game I have to process Vulkan shaders, which takes a while. If I press "skip", my PC freezes indefinitely without fail. I'm using Arch Linux with an AMD CPU and GPU.
