Preference not working properly in mystic selection

Match ID 728677 (second incident) and Match ID 698026(first incident) as the title says. Weelo has a preference for Haze, and Pocket as a secondary select(not preferred) and i have the opposite, preference for Pocket and Haze as secondary. Yet in these 2 matches there were not contestants on the enemy team to pick these 2, only us, yet we didn't get out prefers?
