"Pre-loading Map and Shaders: Completed 0 out of 0" then the game crashes

Since last update I get this notification every time I start the game. It does this for about half a minute with a few lag spikes then the game and Steam crashes. I don't have to kill steam manually though, which is nice.

Ubuntu 24.10 - 1070Ti - 16gb - Xeon E2 cpu [bottlenecks here]

If other logs would be helpful let me know. Will try switching Proton versions, sometimes that helps. Switching Proton versions did not help so far.

I have the same issue as well. For what it's worth I also run linux. The game seems to work fine, but the shader window never goes away.
Dang, must be a hardware issue for me then if you can run it. What are your specs?
 
I'm also on linux and there is no crash, but the "0 of 0" notification doesn't dismiss and it covers up the net worth, timer, and top half of the tower status ui.
