[Potentially game-breaking] Repeatedly buying and selling the Golden Goose Egg gives the stacking permanent buffs -> broken stats mid/late-game

I could probably have made the title a bit less long and clear but unsure how.

Match ID's as an example of the exploit being used, from what I gathered:
66373941 (Rem) - Found on Twitter
66288403 (Drifter) - Found on Reddit

Basically, repeatedly buying the Golden Goose Egg and hatching it as soon as you get enough souls to buy a new one gives you the 2 permanent buffs, which stacks throughout the game. This leads to the person abusing this exploit gaining a huge amount of fire rate, gun dmg, spirit dmg and health throughout the game as it scales up pretty fast.

The best example is on Match ID 66373941 where the Rem repeatedly buys and sells the Golden Goose egg and doesn't buy any items; it's the best way to demonstrate the issue with this exploit as he does closer to 200 dps per bullet (!), his fire rate being crazy and being tankier than most tanks.

This may have been intended and likely can be punished in higher lobbies, but I feel like this is a game-breaking exploit which can ruin lower ranked lobbies who aren't sure how to counter or punish for this issue properly.

Solution to this exploit could be to limit you to only one Golden Goose Egg per match, or make it so that they have non-stacking permanent buffs.

Thanks for your time and effort on this matter!

disarm hex, curse.. funny though. Might receive a nerf and does seem game breaking for low ranks.

Yes. In this case, it would have been applicable.

However, this seems to be an exploit which has happened across many matches, and I'm suspecting it may become a bigger issue after some time.

This is probably just a smurf wrecking your lobby and nothing to do with the egg buffs. From what I understand he's not actually doing a bug here right? It's not infinite money it's just spending all his cash on the eggs?

Yeah it's just spending 400 for 2 statue buffs. Essentially useless in any normal match

Not my lobby; I found the Match ID elsewhere where they discussed this topic. I can't comment on whether they are or are not a smurf and I can't do that.

The money here isn't the issue; it's not an infinite money issue. It's an infinite stat buff issue. The people using the exploit seem to be even on souls with others (or a bit below). But as you can see below while spectating the game, you can tell how many times they are buying and selling the egg for the permanent buffs (golden statue buffs) which stacks and basically breaks the characters stats later in the game; an example is the clip I put at the start of the thread. Rem, as a character without any items, should not have more HP than a Mo & Krill who has full green investments.

I dont really want to spend time doing the math if it's actually too strong but as a counterpoint mo and krill still has more effective hp than rem in your post. He will heal more via vampiric, infuser. He has more effective HP than rem against bullets due to plated armor.

And like I suspected the REM is a brand new account with an absurdly high winrate (86%). Almost guaranteed to be smurfing and is the real issue. https://statlocker.gg/match/66373941/player-stats

I think you're missing my point here on purpose. They would still be able to buy items while doing the egg exploit, the Rem just chose not to. It means they could do as much damage or be as effective/if not more due to the buffs and their items, if they chose to to so.

That being said, if you're here to just argue how this particular issue is not an issue or potentially game-breaking because smurfing is a bigger issue, I would recommend you open a different thread/topic for that issue.

It's not an exploit or bug though. It's an inefficient way to buy stats. My posts were to show you that the strategy is not particularly good and it was primarily the player.

If you dont think people should be allowed to stack buffs late game when they are full on item slots that belongs in feedback but in Dota 2 you could do this by consuming moonshards and aghanim's scepter so it seems intentional.
