I can't recreate it in sandbox/explore nyc, so i ask anyone who's experienced this to vindicate what i've been seeing.
abilities that 1. are cast on a target (no projectile, show up as a rhombus on targets if you have quick/instant cast)
2. can be cast on objectives (walkers, guardians)
e.g. vyper venom, bebop bomb, geist suck, etc.
have absolutely horrid targeting for anything that isnt the said objective: it can be as bad as target for your ability being in front of you, but if the tower is anywhere on your screen, the ability will target the tower instead.
Why I think it's a bug instead of being intended is because the complete opposite happens when I try to test it in sandbox/explore nyc. It actually never targets the tower over heroes even if the hero is completely off your crosshair.
It's to the point that its almost impossible to cast abilities on objectives, yet in real matches It reliably does the opposite that its even common knowledge that you will be safe from being targeted with such abilities as long as you are close to an objective.
mcginnis turrets also fall under this problem btw
