pocket ult+ mystic reverb

Considering pocket has 3 other abilities that are all arguably better for apply mystic reverb and it STILL isn't taken very often on him I think it is
1. intended
2. not broken
I have maybe 100 pocket games and have never once tried this. Affliction cannot tick you to 0 from full hp during most points in the game so you were probably going to die either way if you are dying to the roughly 15 damage that the mystic reverb proc will be doing, in which case it would probably be better for pocket to just have different items worth 6200.

Also debuff remover is cheaper than mystic reverb and will remove his ult and the reverb proc (and should probably be picked up against pocket anyways if affliction is being put on you a lot).

@wallace

Pocket's Ultimate, Affliction, says, "Affliction's damage is non-lethal and does not apply item procs."
It's incredibly powerful, because it's an absolute death sentance. Affliction basically puts them to 1, but won't kill them. Mystic Reverb kills them.

With no items, at max level, Affliction procs 36 times for 25 damage per proc. That's 900 base for one ability.
It does so much because it's a dot that can't kill, so you have to get creative. It often leaves the enemy at 1.
If you put a proc on it, the puzzle gets too easy to solve: buy an item that procs on the damage, roll your face across the keyboard, kill entire enemy team.

I want to play it, but I'm pretty sure I'd be abusing a bug.

Considering pocket has 3 other abilities that...
I disagree. I just put 4 items on Pocket and did 2139 by pushing 4.

After the full 2139 was over, the final Mystic Reverb proc finally hit for 20.

That would kill basically anything in a normal context (they're doing stuff, but I'm doing stuff, they escape, but they have this on them, any other character on our team has any reasonable status effect that causes them to have to use a debuf remover, etc.).

Edit: With 8 items, and a Pocket 1, it's 6099 damage. That will put anything at 1. A damaging proc on the end of that is lethal.

Mystic reverb procing so many times off one ability is rather absurd, it gives pockets ult a really strong team slow, and makes it lethal even though it specifically states it is not lethal nor does it proc items, so this combo should very much be removed. He can wipe entire teams with his ult, just jump in ult and jump out and eventually even dies. 67 kill Pocket games with this combo

I honestly had never read the "doesn't proc items part" of the ability, but this post is moot because it got patched out yesterday 10-2 patch so it looks like the devs agreed with the original intention. I will still say I think mystic reverb wasn't that big of a problem, but it was still apparently not how it was supposed to work. While affliction does regularly deal a lot of damage for me, I feel like it is mostly only useful for the anti-heal which is what I generally use it for, or for specific targets that don't have healing and are feeling hard to catch.

I don't know what 8 items you bought but this is a hyper specific case that is trying super hard to get high affliction damage and not actually accounting for items that are good on pocket. with a normal late game pocket build with every single buff you could possibly get to spirit damage you're looking at more like half of this provided they have literally no spirit defense.

The fact that people didn't figure it out doesn't mean it wasn't going to be a problem. Affliction puts everything to 1 hp. Mystic Reverb then kills them all.
That's got to go.
It was unintended.
It got patched out.
It was bad. The devs agree that it was bad.
There is absolutely no reason for your attempt to minimize this very valid complaint. The build was just spirit stuff. With 6099 at the top end, it wasn't necessary to build exactly that to get lethal. I could have done three thousand less and still killed anybody in the game.
No wait, everybody in the game.

There's no reason to pretend that this wasn't a problem.

edit* Furthermore, I said 8 items.
I didn't say 16.
Crying that it's a super specific build when I've got 8 empty slots is just an invalid complaint.

edit2* It still procs in Sandbox. Are we sure it's patched out?

edit3* It does not proc against bots on Citadel. I'm not going to test it in pvp because if it works, I'm abusing a bug.
