Please remove the new translated character names.

I understand translating stuff like (for example) Abilities names and items names, but please do NOT translate names literally. This is just something to be laugh at. Meme potential if you even call it. (Like Shiv being called "el navajas") but we are talking Half-Life 2 and TF2 level of BAD localization, don't do this, in any language, stop translating stuff like this.1750058516094.png

Oh yeah, I completely agree. I also believe that hero names shouldn't be localized.

I know the game offers an option to display hero and item names in English, but even so, that setting isn't helpful for new players who want to communicate with their team.

A good example: for some reason, the Steam installer defaults to European Spanish, which causes many Latin American players to end up using the wrong language for their region. This leads to a situation where two different versions of Spanish coexist within Latin America, each using different names for the same heroes.

Another important thing is that if the game ever releases a comic or promotional material, it will most likely use the localized names. That can create a lot of confusion for people just like it already does with patch notes translated into European Spanish.

Don't get me wrong, I really respect the work the LatAm localization team has done for Valve's products. But if this practice continues, it's likely that many Spanish-speaking players will end up switching the game's language to English, just like what happened with TF2, where many Spanish speakers preferred English because, let's say, the European Spanish dubbing wasn't very well received.

And in the end, this could lead to no one using the Latin American Spanish localization in Deadlock.
