Ping spike time skip

Is this a common issue? at least once a game at this point my ping will randomly go 1000+ after no hitches and i'm completely stuck for like 30-50 seconds, in game i'm still moving around so if i'm lucky I can spam zipline back if i'm close but its been consistently happening mid way through lane phase and throws the whole fucking game. literally have never had this happen in any other game (Rivals, SF or DBD), if it is common how do I fix?

for context my normal ping is also below 100 then this will randomly happen

update I had three spikes in one game, really pathetic shit I'd expect this from like a xbox 360 game or a game made in a third world country but at this point its unrecommendable to friends when this is constantly what happens.
