Pause screen UI caused screen burn

I left the game paused in sandbox for a couple minutes and came back to flickering when I went back to the main menu. I closed to game to try and fix it only to find out the pause screen UI has burned into my screen. Thankfully it seems to have gone away on its own but this is the first time anything like this has happened while I've been playing the game.

I don't know what would've caused this or if its related to any specific changes in the most recent update. The game wasn't paused for a long duration either, at most somewhere between 3-5 minutes which is what's odd about it.

I might have an idea of what may have caused it. The flickering was happening again when I relaunched the game following a full pc restart. Its possible maybe the UI is refreshing too often and that's what's causing both problems?
