pak01.vpk is corrupt

I semi-regularly run into this error, it happens occasionally when I try to open the game with no prior indication, except for one match when the game was frozen at the end and I had to force-close.

Verifying files fixes it but it keeps happening.
 
Try disabling XMP (Intel) or EXPO (AMD) in the BIOS/UEFI of the motherboard. The manufacturer may have named it differently, refer to their documentation. If this doesn't help, try reducing the frequency of the RAM in 500 or 1000 MHz increments, or however you are allowed to. If this still doesn't work, try updating the BIOS/UEFI. If nothing else works, replace the RAM.
