This happened when I first started up the game. With any new game I play, I always check the controls first. As I was scrolling through the keybinds, I saw that "Jump" was tied to "Mousewheel down."
I thought it was a visual glitch at first, so I logged into a test match. The quests showed that yes, I had to jump using mousewheel down. The audio said to use space but I couldn't jump until I scrolled down.
I changed the keybind to space and it works just fine, so I don't exactly know if this was on my part or not. No other valve game I have has any keybind like that, so I doubt it could've been carried over from some other game.
