I was just playing a match as Ivy (Match ID: 1362566) and throughout the game I would get assist credit on kills I was across the map for after I bought Siphon Bullets. Leading to this game where I got 24 assists, mostly on the other team's Vindicta who I did an astonishingly low 1,731 damage and only actually had on my screen for about two, maybe three minutes total.

yeah this is crazy it hasn’t been patched when last patch the only item people ever purchased was siphon bullets lol

This occurred in this game just then. Match ID: 33409033
I (the Ivy) killed the Geist at 18:09 as normal, but gained a Siphon Bullets stack. Her next two deaths occurred at 20:53 and 22:14 when I was across the map and didn't see her for her entire life both times, but I still got an Assist (and the free souls) for doing so.
