I've been playing the game since just before the first hero vote, I've poured ~500 or so hours into the game as of current and I love it. I commonly stream my games to my friends in discord calls and and a close Friend of mine who's very interested cant get the game to open anymore, and can't make an forum account to notify anyone about this. Here is her Words on the issue Exactly:
Before I begin, something important I would like to note is this report contains events from before the 2025 Christmas Update. also, it is entirely possible that this report could be simply a result of hardware limitations, and can be ignored entirely.
Before the Christmas update last year, I was able to open Deadlock without issue, but I didn't attempt to actually play a match due to my computer running the game at a shaky 10-25 FPS, and a texturing bug that made Infernus look a little worse for wear (image attached). After the Christmas update, my game simply would not open at all, I initially dismissed this as an update adding graphical upgrades that pushed it past my computer's ability to run the game. However, I find it unusual that the game crashes on boot instead of simply running atrociously, as other higher spec games on my PC do (DOOM 2016, Elden Ring, Devil May Cry 5). Recently, I attempted to launch the game with the most extreme setting of a recently released optimization mod (OptimizationLock V2 by Sqooky!) and it still outright crashed on boot, making me extremely suspicious. I fully understand that game modifications can create unintended issues, however, The compound of this being an optimization mod, this issue persisting over the course of multiple updates, and Infernus spreading his skin across the training room, leads me to believe that there may be some kind of problem crashing the game on boot rather than my computer simply being unable to run the program. I will periodically check this thread as a guest for potential fixes, as well as my PC specs below if they might illuminate any potential issues.
