Multiple Characters in Main Menu when Steam Overlay is Opened

When I have the Steam overlay opened in a queue (I am in Hero Labs in the screenshot), multiple characters render in the main menu. They go away once the Steam overlay is closed.

Steps to replicate
- Launch Deadlock
- Queue for a game
- Open the Steam overlay
- Allow the characters to change on the main menu. Multiple will begin rendering.
