Missing Game Invite

I selected a friend for an invite 2 weeks ago and since then a few others have also invited him, but he has not received access to the game.
I know the notice says it normally takes 1 - 2 days, but sometimes may take longer, but is there any way to know if an invite is coming or if he isn't qualified in some way? Maybe because he has his account set to private?

Either way, thanks for access to the game. It's been really fun so far.

He told me that he's checked through his notifications to see if he missed it and it is not there.
He also checked: https://store.steampowered.com/account/playtestinvites , with no entries in there either.

Hey, I got the same problem with a friend of mine.. Seems like a bug... But dunno how to fix it.
