Upgrading Fire Scarabs while its active gives you all of its charges back and using it afterwards restarts the launch window. In real matches, you're able to refund ability points if you haven't used any abilities afterwards, meaning you can refresh Fire Scarabs indefinitely by upgrading then immediately refunding it before it expires.
