Microphone(s) Not Functional On Linux (Proton)

Running Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS. Latest Proton version (tried with and without experimental). Also tried reinstalling the game. This issue has persisted since I first started playing Deadlock.

I have 2 microphones that both work, G533 and RZ19. They work in all other applications. However they don't work in Deadlock. The G533 option just audio feedbacks itself and doesn't take any input. The RZ19 (my main mic) simply does nothing and has no sound. Default device also doesn't work, which is configured as the RZ19 in my Ubuntu settings. PulseAudio Input also does nothing.

I'm not sure what is causing the problem, but have also noticed the strange "Monitor of" naming for each audio option, which I don't see outside of Deadlock.

Both Microphones are connected via USB, and I have no special audio equipment or software installed. Just stock settings that ship with Ubuntu LTS.

Seeing that you're running Ubuntu, do you have steam installed via snap? If so, check this old issue https://forums.playdeadlock.com/threads/linux-pauses-hang-ups-on-specific-actions.35444/#post-66966 as it might be related to permission issues.

"Monitor" here is just an audio term. It represents devices that "monitor" audio input. This is in contrast to an audio sink, which takes in input (like speakers).

Just tried it out, worked perfectly! Both of my mic inputs now work as expected. Thank you! Can finally use comms in ranked now.
