Micro Freezing only occurring in game

I had random micro freezing in game, it wasnt happening in other applications on my computer.

I just got access yesterday and I have found the game to suffer from a lot of stutter/lag whenever another human player is nearby. This is on a brand new higher end gaming laptop and 300mbps internet connection. I played 2 games and couldn't be bothered to play another one. I'll probably try again tonight but if it's not running smoother I won't be able to continue playing it which is disappointing.
