Melee Angle Animation Bug

Melees are not properly animated for vertical angle adjustments. Could the swipe effect also be matched more closely to the actual melee hitbox regardless of angle, in addition to the vertical angle adjustment being fixed to affect the direction of the swipe and character animation?

I hope this is not intentional. But maybe this explains some whiffs I had in my games...
I don't see why it would be intentional, considering charged melee is properly animated for vertical angles and even recently got different behavior for airborne directionality.
 
An addendum, charged melee is properly animated while airborne, but grounded charged melee has the same issue. Both airborne and grounded quick melees are not properly animated.
