McG's Turret attack speed bugs are worse with math.

This is in reference to how turrets incorrectly display their DPS. The DPS counter assumed they attack 2/s. When they used to attack 1.7/s. Now, turrets attack about 77 times in their 24 second duration. This results in 3.2/s. This results in a 32 DPS, instead of the advertised 40 dps. Which is below the 37.5 dps they had pre-patch.

Now, as well, their T2 upgrade doesn't increase their attack speed. Purchasing it causes to the turrets to still only do 77 attacks. Resulting in a flat 10% dps reduction.

On top of all this, turrets are still hard capped to 116~ attacks in 24 seconds, or an attack speed of 4.833x/s. Which is the same as it was before. This means that turrets now do 50% less damage at max attack speed, as the bullet damage was halved. It isn't hard to achieve this cap either, just a t1 scepter scepter, no heoric aura causes turrets to hit the cap. And that's WITH the bugged talent.

So they do 10% less DPS than they used to with no buffs. 20% less damage than they advertise, and do 50% less damage when at max attack speed.



At this point, I think their attack speed being wrong is a bug deeper than just the turrets. Before this patch, I just assumed it was a typo, but considering this patch changed their attack speed, the incorrect DPS should have been fixed.

I suspect the attack speed cap is intentional, and not a bug, but I suspect it was an oversight to not double the cap to account for the half in damage and double base attack speed.

As for why the T2 is not increasing the attack speed, I honestly don't know.
