make casual have a needed limit of bot matches played

its horrible playing with newbies in casual and watching half the team feed the enemy players where the only thing you can do is either throw yourself into the meat grinder or just sit in spawn and wait for the inevitable defeat to pop up

Bot matches suck. If you're getting beginners in your match, that says a lot more about your skill level.
at least bait the hook before you toss it in the water jeez

new players are currently being thrown in anywhere from archon down, found a couple sad profiles on tracklock of people with just a single game in mid-elo, they go 0/12/0 and never play again

it's an issue that does need to be addressed and messages like yours are not constructive in the slightest

edit: looking through your post history it looks like this guy just spams hostile shit on everyone's posts lol, real contributor we got here

Ah yes, so complaining about needed nerfs is hostile, also "everyone's posts"? Despite me making my own

I believe propane was referring to the user who commented before them with that line.

Also, I don't think the bot matches requirement would help anything sadly. While players might learn "how" to play the game, even on hard the bots are trivially easy to beat and nothing like real humans. Likely it would just mean new players would come to regular matches with a warped view of how the game will go and end up feeding regardless. Personally, I think the only thing that will fix this is another change to the matchmaking system, preferably to limit brand new players to playing with those who have less than the minimum matches required to receive a rank or matching them with players in the lowest three ranks, where the matches likely won't go quite as horribly for them. Albeit, this game is being heavily modified often sure to still being in development, so things could get worse before they get better. Here's hoping they get better though

ah ok, if propane was i apologize, bot matches could come with tutorial popups or something, although it could also be put in the "how to play" section along with hero specific tips like use cover when fighting mcginnis due to her turrets etc etc

There's already a tutorial in the game, bot matches are genuine copium from people who think playing against some half-baked enemy AI means they won't have to deal with people that suck.

Maybe a suggestion to do a few bot/coop matches to get the gist of things and a warning that bot players are nothing like real ones.

Tbh this is how I started the game, I went and did roughly 5 coop matches to learn the hang of it and totally expected real players to be much harder. It's also good for getting the ropes of a new character sometimes, too. I say they just need to make sure first time players are put with others in lower skill group instead of mid-elo where they get disparaged from playing ...
