Magic carpet bug, Cant use items/skills after respawn

When you die when casting magic carpet, you can't use items/skills when you respawn. Only by casting the magic carpet again can fix it.

Bumping this post, recently happened to me in a match. Match #17282099 as Mo&Krill around 28:40 in the replay (at the end of the game).

This is especially problematic when you have Soul Rebirth, making it so you aren't able to cast any abilities until you can cast Magic Carpet again which will be on cooldown after reviving from Soul Rebirth. I was able to cast Fleetfoot but it did not reset my abilities.
