low fps and high VRAM usage regardless of settings

as the title says, on my system regardless of apis/settings/resolution my fps is consistently low with crowded areas/areas with lotsa effects being respectively worse, all 2GBs of my vram are being utilized at all times and once again, regardless of aforementioned variables
i feel like this is a bug/memory leak, my system is pretty bad but i usually get around it by playing on low screen/render resolutions and settings and vram usage scales accordingly

i have a laptop gpu with 12gb vram all of which the game was using. It was too late for me to record but wraith ult and card effects slowed my pc down to 1 fps for a while and later i checked my vram usage was 11.6gb all of it was deadlock. To confirm i closed the game and all the vram was cleared

Gonna be honest here, I think at some point people need to stop expecting games (or even wanting games) to optimize for decade old hardware. Its also a garbage card even for the year it came out. Its pretty clear you don't take gaming very seriously or don't respect it as a hobby. Sorry that you're lagging but either find another hobby or invest like 500 into a half-decent pc (theres a prebuilt 2060 on the market for 500, you could probably get something on facebook marketplace for like 250).

what are you on about ? what about my RX 6800M, ik its a laptop gpu but using 12gb vram is surely a bug

you are one big annoying idiot, aren'tcha?

and i think at some point valve has to put at least some effort into optimizing their game(s)
source 2 is the real garbage here, no other game lags like games made using this excuse of a modern game engine
when a better looking, more visually appealing and older game from 2016 like ow or even ow2 or fortnite (with a freaking huge map and a lot of assets) or valo (all of which are popular modern games on the market rn) has a better performance u really start to question source2 as a thing that exists

i know that my gpu is not the top of the line gpu, yet it doesn't matter in other games where i can just lower render/resolution and be on my merry way now, does it?
yet in deadlock no matter how low of a resolution i set it eats all of my vram, that's clearly a bug and your moronic takes are just irrelevant at the very least here

Valve is going to address performance issues. The game is not only not optimized for older gpus, but it's just unfinished, there are stupidly expensive shaders for some of the abilities and effects in the game, which are probably leaking memory. There are stupid amount of particles generated, especially near the end-game fights. Yes there are better-looking games which came out 10 years ago and dishing stable 200 fps on any hardware, But here even when walkers start shooting it is a fps drop all the time. Even if your GPU will be able to handle it, you will still understand nothing out of pixel soup happening on the screen. I don't know if bringing 12 ppl in the 100 sq.m. endgame with 48 spells which almost has no cooldown at this point is fun at all or was a good idea.
