[Linux] Game crashes/shuts down when switching workspaces

The game generally runs well.

All is fine when I try to change workspaces while in the main menu.
But when the match starts (or if I go to sandbox mode) and I try to do it, the game crashes. It happens when I use fullscreen and when I use borderless window. But it doesn't if I use the standard windowed setting. The demonstration is below.

EDIT: It doesn't happen if I use borderless at less-than-native resolution. But it does when I use the fullscreen. I think it also happens when I just alt+tab without switching workspaces - so it might be related to window going out of focus.

I use PopOs, with default environment (Cosmic). Everything is updated etc. (kernel: 6.9.3-76060903-generic) I used the default settings but later I also installed and used the GE-Proton9-15 to see if it helps (it didn't). I run the log and the last lines are:

Cosmic is an alpha DE. Considering that the game already runs fine on other environments, it's more likely that it's an issue with Cosmic than it is with deadlock and proton. Alphas will, of course, have unpredictable behavior--and by mixing them, any issues that show up will be ambiguous as to their root cause.

If you haven't already, you should file a bug report to system76 about this as well.
