Lash ult sometimes doesn't pull enemy to lash when successful

I had a game where I as lash was ulting a grey talon inside their patreon pit but instead of dragging him to me and then down to the point i was aiming it dragged him from the point on the grouond he was standing to the point on the ground i was aiming. thus making him stop because of the wall inbetween.
