Killed by Zap Not On Top of Building

I don't know what I was attempting - I think I was trying to hide away from the enemy trying to kill me - so I tucked myself in the corner. Once I got close to the top I got killed by the lightning rods on top of the building - even though I wasn't on top just yet.
