Key Inputs Not Registering After Death/After Respawn

I've had many games where buttons like WASD, tab, and others have stopped working after a respawn. I'm stuck in place while I mash to try getting my character to move again. It works sometimes, but the keys seem to turn off and on randomly during this state. I've experienced this for a few months.

i have to shoot with M1 before keyboard characters work.

I've had this on and off for a few months too. I lose key inputs regularly after I press tab, and it's usually only when doing so recently after respawn/at the beginning of a game. Pressing escape several times until the menu pops up usually re-enables other key inputs for me
