The text window does not scale when you write an annotation. You can still type, and what you type is displayed when hovering over the item, but you are unable to see or directly edit everything that goes beyond the text window.
Yea this is quite annoying when trying to create builds. The one workaround for this is to type the text you want somewhere else and copy and paste it into the game.
