I am now going to be making weekly threads in a futile attempt to get Valve to acknowledge and fix the memory leak that was introduced 5 major patches ago. There are already plenty of threads on the issue and we have heard nothing from the team. I do not understand why the leak has not been fixed. For posterity, many users including myself report a sudden drop in frame rate after playing for a certain while, this usually happens when playing your second game and the only fix is a complete client restart. Sometimes if a game goes on for long enough it will kick in at around the 30 minute mark of gameplay, at least on an 8GB GPU. This is not a hardware issue, it is a software issue.
Valve please acknowledge this massive issue and please fix it. We cannot adequately test your product if a memory leak goes ignored for 10 weeks.
