Issue playing with mouse + controller

Deadlock seems to mostly work fine when using a mouse and controller at the same time. One issue occurs if I do an action using the mouse (e.g. left click) while I am moving using the controller stick. If the stick is fully pushed in any direction then it works fine but if the stick is only slightly pushed then my character will stop moving until I either fully push the stick or press a button on the controller.

I am unable to play using a keyboard so getting this fixed would be very useful for me.
