Venator holds a shotgun in his hand at all times - even if unskilled or it's on cd (he also never reloads it)
is he stupid? i mean it looks kinda dumb, it's an eyesore and it lowkey pisses me off
my suggestions:
0. visual tweak - put down shotgun when it's on cd or unskilled (reload animation also would be nice)
1. dualwielding time!!! both weapons usable simultaneously each with their own magazine
holliday had a weapon switch mechanic in a very old build (Force of Nature used to toggle between revolver and shotgun) and i think that concept had something. removing that felt like a missed opportunity
having to pick which gun to shoot at any given moment, or just going braindead and blasting from both - that sounds a bit more fun than what we have now
both weapons reload on R so the vulnerability window stays
there is some new interactions it can bring, e.g.:
> gun can be locked until corresponding skill is unlocked, upgraded with skill
> choosing which weapon to apply the item (e.g. tesla shots, ricochet) with the on-hit effect to
this could work as a whole new hero concept: someone who has multiple weapons but starts without and unlocks them through skills, so you pick your first weapon based on matchup/playstyle
