Inconsistent performance

After a couple hours trying the game out, it seems to have very inconsistent performance on my end, dropped from 110+ fps to 20-30 in just a few minutes. After trying changing around the video options of the game, having the game on windowed seemed to have worked for a while and it managed to stay at around 80 solid fps, but the performance dropped after an hour again to 20-30, it could very likely also be a problem with alt-tabbing out of the game way too often, which i did
