Objective: To address the inconsistencies observed in the headshot damage multiplier and the Lucky Shot proc for the character Haze in the game.

Introduction:

After extensive testing, it has been observed that Haze's headshot damage multiplier is inconsistent across different scenarios. This report details the findings and highlights the need for clarity in the game's damage calculation mechanics.

Testing Scenarios and Results:

1. With base damage and base skill 3:

  • No stack:
    • Damage: 5.3
    • Headshot: 10, 11
    • Headshot Multiplier: Close to 2
  • Full stack:
    • Damage: 11.3
    • Headshot: 16, 17
    • Headshot Multiplier: Around 1.46
2. With base damage and fully upgraded skill 3:

  • No stack:
    • Damage: 5.3
    • Headshot: 10, 11
    • Headshot Multiplier: Close to 2
  • Full stack:
    • Damage: 32.3
    • Headshot: 37, 38
    • Headshot Multiplier: Around 1.16
These results show significant inconsistencies in the headshot multiplier, with no clear indication in the game mechanics explaining why this occurs.

3. With Lucky Shot proc, which should increase damage by 80% if proc:

3.1. With Lucky Shot and base skill 3:

  • No stack:
    • Damage: 6.25
    • Item Proc Damage: 11, 12 (applies 2 stacks instead of 1)
    • Headshot: 12, 13
    • Item Proc Headshot: 17, 18 (applies 3 stacks instead of 2)
    • Headshot Multiplier: Close to 2
  • Full stack:
    • Damage: 12.25
    • Item Proc Damage: 23, 24
    • Headshot: 17, 18, 19
    • Item Proc Headshot: 29, 30
    • Headshot Multiplier: Around 1.46
3.2. With Lucky Shot and fully upgraded skill 3:

  • No stack:
    • Damage: 6.25
    • Item Proc Damage: 11, 12 (applies 2 stacks instead of 1)
    • Headshot: 12, 13
    • Item Proc Headshot: 17, 18 (applies 3 stacks instead of 2)
    • Headshot Multiplier: Close to 2
  • Full stack:
    • Damage: 33.25
    • Item Proc Damage: 65, 66 (expected proc damage: 33.25 * 1.8 = 59.85)
    • Headshot: 39, 40
    • Item Proc Headshot: 71, 72 (expected proc damage: 39, 40 + 33.25 * 0.8 = 65.6, 66.6)
    • Headshot Multiplier: Around 1.19

Analysis:

The findings reveal several critical inconsistencies:

  1. The headshot multipliers do not align consistently with the expected values across different damage and skill scenarios.
  2. The Lucky Shot proc damage calculations deviate from the expected values, adding to the confusion.
  3. There is no in-game explanation for these discrepancies, leaving players uncertain about the mechanics.
Conclusion and Recommendations:

The inconsistencies in Haze's headshot damage multiplier and the Lucky Shot proc damage calculations need to be addressed for better gameplay transparency and strategy optimization. Clear documentation or in-game information explaining the damage calculation mechanics is essential to help players understand and make the most of their abilities. The development team is encouraged to review these mechanics and provide a detailed explanation or adjustment to ensure consistency and clarity.

Call to Action:

We urge the developers to investigate these inconsistencies and provide clarity on the damage calculation mechanics. Players rely on accurate information to optimize their strategies, and addressing these issues will significantly enhance the gaming experience.

I discovered that the Lucky Shot proc damage is counted in addition to the damage you deal as a normal body shot, regardless of whether it's a headshot or not.

Full proc damage = Your dealt damage (whether a headshot or not) + 0.8 * your body shot damage.
They are separate damage sources not amp.

It does not apply the headshot multiplier.
