Impresario

"Charlotte Dyer didn't have much growing up in the rural south, but two things she did have were quite a good singing voice, and a steadfast ability to get the things she did wanted, so when she moved to New York City at the turn of the century, she was quick to find herself employed, enjoyed, and with a growing purse. With said influence, and the friendship of one prominent Anton LeRoux, she managed to open the Marquise Grand Theatre, a stately venue for all the spectacular and debauched. In time, it flourished, under the careful eye of Charlotte, though her desire to maintain a level of control and restraint began to exasperate LeRoux. And when exasperation turned to malcontent, Charlotte's usefulness neared it's end, and with her usefulness, so too did her life. Or, it should have, had the Cursed Apple not decided to keep Charlotte around, ghastly and incomplete as she was. Rumors began swirling around the Theatre that it was haunted by the "runaway Matron" as LeRoux had taken to calling her. Sightings of a phantom woman, caushing mischief and malice. Ruining Anton's efforts at running the Theatre were easy. Killing off errant stagehands or upstart starlets was a trifle more, and when she finally got the chance, Anton LeRoux lay dead on the stage he stole from her. But that was just show business.

Now with a new Maelstrom brewing, Charlotte endeavors to earn her life back, and to reclaim what was stolen from her, no matter who gets in her way."

Appearance wise, were going skeletal and vaudeville, with some elegance likening back to one of the original covers for Phantom of the Opera. Think someone a bit matronly, a bit risque, but also very dead, and wearing a mask and gloves to hide the hardest bits to cover.

Kit

Gun - "Show Business", a set of daggers hidden in a handheld fan, left click does a throw of a slower projectile speed, higher damage dagger, and alt fire does a horizontal line of daggers, like old Calico shotgun.

Ability 1 - A passive ability that, when off cooldown, makes her next quick melee apply all melee damage and effects in a large cone beyond the target hit. Leveling reduces the cooldown, and it otherwise just acts as a large extension of the natural melee aoe, though I don't think parrying the ability part of the cone should stun her. Other upgrades would include, at tier 3/maxed, it also applies to heavy melees (much like Viscous Fist). Visually, it'd would make a sort of ghostly cone to show its range when she hits.

Ability 2 -"Stage Hook" She places a debuff on an enemy, or alt cast to place on herself, that marks the location where that hero was when it was applied. At the end of the duration, or upon her recasting the ability, the hero is teleported back to said location. The ability cannot be recast while under the effects of crowd control, but also, unless removed, will teleport the hero at the end of it's duration even if otherwise cc'ed. This ability, by functioning as a debuff, can be cleansed. I am not sure how debuff resist would work though. Upgrades increasing duration of the tether debuff, and tier 3/maxed makes the ability do damage to enemies based on the distance traveled from the "X". Visually, the target would have a stage hook marker on them, or literally around their waist, and maybe even leave a sort of spectral afterimage that leads back to the "X".

Ability 3 - "Lament". She shrieks, applying a silence in a small AoE around her. I am unsure what to do upgrade wise, besides maybe have it reduce enemy physical resist. Aesthetically, this both harkens back to singing, but is also a little bit banshee-like.

Ability 4 - "Limelight" Upon cast, every enemy on the map has a spotlight/limelight appear above them, revealing them on the minimap, unless they leave it's radius. At the end of the circles duration (think maybe a second and a half or two seconds?) the light will flash, and enemy enemies within the circle will take damage and be stunned. Upgrades would include increasing its radius, and reducing cooldown. Visually, it'd be a bright spotlight appearing above the player, aiming straight down to form the aoe.

I thought Phantom of the Opera meets American Vaudeville sounded really appropriate for Deadlock, and also that other mobas still have what I consider are interesting abilities that work within this game too. I figured an "initiation" character that could double as a sort of melee skirmisher sounded a neat idea, but wanted to avoid a Holliday 2.0, hence trying to make her *either* initiate with say Stage Hook and Limelight, or have the self cast Stage Hook to get out after poking/bursting. Also I think obliterating multiple people with Kunkka's cleave is funny, and wanted a melee character to have that, even if there are no random crits for melees in Deadlock.
