Just wanted to see what people here would think of this vilain concept and if his abilites could be viable/interesting. There is always room for improvment. The numbers used for the abilities have not been thought through, they are just there to give an idea.
PS : Sorry for using ChatGPT for the picture, my IRL artistict skill suck. It's not 100% what I had in mind but still close enough.

Backstory

They say Mammon was not born, he was offered.

When the first mortal looked upon another’s harvest and whispered “mine,” he appeared, smiling through the smoke of a newborn sin. It was he who taught humanity that desire could be measured, that worth could be written, and that promises could be bought. And from his ink came the first contract, binding mankind not to gods, but to their own hunger.

Through the ages, he has raised beggars into kings, whispering of glory, of power, of eternal prosperity. Each victory a gift. Each gift, a shackle. Those who bargain with him rise fast, burn bright, and fall in silence, their souls stamped and filed away in the ledgers of eternity.

They say Mammon possesses all that can be possessed. Wealth, knowledge, souls and time itself. And yet, he walks once more among mortals, drawn to the Cursed Apple, ledger in hand and quill dripping with promises.

For even when one owns everything, there is always one more thing to take.

Gameplay Identity

Strengths:
Economic manipulation, teamfight control, psychological pressure.

Weaknesses: No direct burst, low mobility, relies heavily on timing and game sense.

Comparison: Plays like a mix between a zone controller (utility type) and a “thief mage” who manipulates enemy resources.

Kit of the Charismatic Devil Mammon

Weapon : Cursed Quill

  • Fires black feathers from his floating inkwell.
  • Medium fire rate, decent range. The feathers “mark” the target after a few landed shots (a faint reddish trace appears above them, like a signed pact).

Skill 1 – Forced Transaction

Description : Launches a contract at an enemy. If the target possesses collected souls, a percentage (e.g. 15 at first then 25% when maxed) is siphoned and added to your account. Does spirit damage. If the target is marked, gain 5% more souls (Example : 15 +5% =20% total)

  • Additionally, when maxed, a slow is applied. The more soul leads the enemy has against Mammon, the longer the slow last.

Skill 2 – Debt Collector

Description : Places a trap that is slightly visible anywhere you want (ground, wall, ceiling). Does spirit damage when the trap is activated.

  • Enemies who pass through the zone are forced to sign the contract and to pay the Tax (300 souls minimum and 20% tax, if the enemy has less than 300 souls, it goes negatively. Example : 200 souls – 300 = -100 in debts).
- The more collected souls the enemy has in his account, greater the Tax is.

· When maxed, you can see briefly where the enemy is each time he gain souls (Minion, creep, kill, Sinners, crates, bags) and how many souls he has in is possession until you, or him die.

Skill 3 – Devil’s Bargain

Description : You throw a contract onto an enemy that curse him and push him to make a choice. This is a “psychological pressure” ability. Either the enemy holds back from attacking, or they do but punish themselves.

Effect : Last 4 seconds

  • Do nothing (0 shooting and 0 use of their abilities) and be rewarded for 800 souls.
  • Or attack and the curse applied, reduce gun and spirit resist by -8%.
  • When maxed, the reward goes to 1’000 souls and the reduce gun and spirit goes to -12%.

Ultimate – All Lies Within

Description : You summon a massive infernal contract on the ground. All enemies who step on it are forced to sign and become bound to each other.

Effect: Last 7 seconds. While the contract is active, all signatories share the pain:

  • 20% of the damage taken by any signatory is transferred to all other signatories.
  • Example: if one enemy takes 1000 damage, each other signatory takes 200.
  • Transferred damage cannot kill directly (targets remain at a minimum of 1 HP).
  • Enemies take Spirit damages each second if they stay on the contract.
  • When maxed, the enemies take more damage (ex : 30%) and you gain a bit of life from it.

Whispers About Mammon

The Vendor knows Mammon well, too well.
He doesn’t speak of him unless forced to, and when he does, his voice trembles like the candlelight that flickers at the Devil’s name.

The Patrons know him too, but they do not fear him.
They see him as a tool of exquisite precision: a broker of souls, a collector of secrets, and a necessary piece in their grander game.
They speak to him softly, offering flattery wrapped in diplomacy, not from weakness, but from strategy.
For though Mammon’s reach is vast, even he must bow to those who own the stage he plays upon.

The Fairfax lineage, as well as Maximilian Fairfax, father of Pocket, is said to have been bought generations ago.
Each ancestor bound to Mammon’s will, each debt written in blood and sealed with the family’s name. Some say the Fairfax fortune was never earned, merely borrowed.

Mina’s family, Wraith, Lady Geist, Calico, and Drifter all know him too, or at least, they pretend to.
Mammon often lingers near them, chatting idly about pleasant little things: corruption, betrayal, murder… and the delicious irony of shattered souls who still believe they’re whole.

And then there’s Seven, ever the opportunist.
He seeks Mammon’s friendship, not out of respect, but out of greed.
Because even devils have their uses.
